This series is mainly composed of CD's where natural
sounds are mixed with music (orange strip).
Each one of these discs proposes a "traveller's
book" narrating the journey of the traveller according
to the visited region

A one-of-a-kind
best seller from the «Traveller’s
Book» series. This aerial, misty recording
invites you to take a pleasant journey into the
most positive realms of your imagination. As soon
as you hear the fi rst few bars of music you will
be enthralled by the graceful sound, fi lling
you with immensely pleasurable waves of relaxation.
Dominica
in the West Indies: the still untamed jungle,
birdsongs, muted chirping, a babbling brook, to
the accompaniment of relaxing and harmonizing
music. After 30 min. of travelling to the sources
of life, this splendid musical background gradually
fades away to make way for the songs of nature,
in a magical universe of peace and equanimity...
Perfect to drive away those winter blues.
A long
sandy beach stretching away for miles and miles.
The soothing sound of
the waves, the reassuring backwash of the sea
and the calls of the seagulls all
succeed in conjuring up an afternoon on the Atlantic
coast. We are overwhelmed by dreams. A tiny marina
comes into view with a slew of sailing craft ready
to set off for far-fl ung destinations, towards
new adventures, a lost paradise, towards the sun
and another life. Set your mind free to go on
holiday and cast off for 60 minutes listening
to a non-stop recording of natural sounds.
This
is a non-stop 60-minute recording of the sounds
heard on a beach on the
Hawaiian island of Maui. “Sacred Beach”
is located in Kihei in the eastern part of
this island, the fi nest one in the whole archipelago.
This recording is ideal for bringing about a deep,
healing sleep. It is a fi rm favourite with parents
trying to get their babies off to sleep!
The
major classical composers (Tchaikovsky, Bach,
Mendelssohn, Beethoven) are on offer on this 60-minute
recording. What you hear in the background is
the soft rhythmic lapping of the waves around
the island of Maui in the Hawaii archipelago...
A must-hear auditory experience! A real delight
for the ears!
“I
slid into the tepid water. No need for any sophisticated
equipment: a few metres down you were treated
to a fascinating site. Coloured fi sh in manifold
amusing shapes were moving peacefully among the
corals…I deeply enjoyed this peace and quiet,
and the sensation of equanimity given off by so
much beauty. I was left with the feeling that
within the space of one day, the sea had offered
a piece of all its fi nest treasures to help me
understand that the fabulous is within easy reach.”
A
journey to India, the country of the Kama Sutra,
an erotic work dating back to the 3rd century.
This ancient text laid down the rules not only
for sexual behaviour but also for human relationships
with a view to promoting harmony with the cosmic
forces. It was with this in mind that the task
was undertaken of gathering the various pieces
of music originating with one of the fi nest contemporary
Indian world music ensembles. This highly rhythmic
music is carefully combined with recordings of
local natural sounds to take us far away on a
splendid yet disorienting and thrilling journey.
The
day is starting, slowly. The world and nature
are coming to life around me.
Nature had a wash yesterday and was refreshed
under cover of darkness. All
that remains are a few dewdrops in the hollows
of the leaves, on the fl ower petals, studding
the spider webs like so many magnifying glasses...
Everything is ready to start anew. In the heart
of my heart, doubtfulness has made way for peace
of mind.
I just had to know how to listen.
A
surprise visit to Cartagena de Indias, off the
north coast of Columbia on the edge of the Caribbean
Sea. The tropical vegetation and its exotic fragrances;
the torrid heat, the sound of the sea, the entire
atmosphere of Latin America… Next comes
the trip by boat to a heavenly island that seems
to have been forgotten by human beings. What can
only be called a Garden of Eden, where nature
seems to be as pristine as when the world was
new…
A makeshift
concert of percussive sounds at a sacred site
on Hawaii’s island of
Maui. This is when the whales get involved. They
are in front of the beach, anxious to display
their delight and their desire to communicate
with us. The transcendental magic of this unique
area of land, allowing all manner of dreams. This
unusual recording sweeps us off into another dimension:
a world where people and whales are able to communicate
with each other through music. Astonishing! This
recording is ideal for early rising and starting
the day bursting with energy.
Every
time I hear this music, I am transported back
there. I go back in time to
that magical place where the greenery is waiting
for me. I walk barefoot through the ferns and
orchids as far as the rocks lining the sun and
the foam-splashed lagoon...
Thanks
to this extremely soothing musical experience
you can immerse yourself in the sound atmosphere
of a cruise and scuba diving. This impressive,
somewhat disorientating soundscape is ideal for
helping to drop off into a deep sleep, to dream
of travelling in the warm oceans. The sounds were
recorded in the French West Indies (Guadeloupe)
during a sea trip over there.
